Blizzard Gunsmoke/Candides

sup boys, been demoing a few skis as i get ready to buy a new (discounted demo skis) pair of skis once they go on sale.

Anyone riding on a gunsmoke? I loved it. I got to ride it on a day when we had some weird spring skiing conditions, and it was a blast. I also skied it on a shitty snow condition day, and still blasted through everything. I've been comparing them to the candide 3.0's and 2.0's as well, and so far those are the ones i've gotten to try out. I really like the candides as well. Anyone have any other suggestions for skis to try out based on these observations?

havent skied the candides but own a gunsmoke.

I daily drive a 193 cochise and recently picked up a 186 gunsmoke for a night skiing / park ski.

pretty stable, very progressive mount. holds an edge decently well.

I wouldn't trust them at mach schnell but theyre a lot of fun.

I was on 3.0's last year and have gunsmokes this year.

in my opinion the gunsmoke does everything the 3.0 can do, but better. Except maybe ski park or do big spins because its heavier.

Hmm I mostly like to kinda charge and hit stuff going fast, I felt fairly comfortable doing that on the gunsmoke. I was also drinking a few beers with the boys that day so that could've been the liquid courage

I barely noticed the weight difference, but I agree. I don't ski much park

for what its worth, I'd also say that the gunsmokes are made better in terms of durability.

I'll probably be picking up another pair next year in a bigger size to use on the west

they're sketchy at speed compared to a cochise. if you like charging then you should get the 193 since it has a stiffer tail.

Yeah blizzard seems like really well made skis. 4frnt seems to be of similar quality

I agree

dont know why it posted like that. not sure if you got my comment re: gunsmoke stability

haha yeah i didnt catch it at first but eventually did. Word. So you think I should honestly look at two pairs of skis then? It seems like i need a dedicated charger + the gunsmoke

depends on how chargy you want to be and how big you are.

at 5 10, 190 lbs i think my 186 gunsmokes are floppy and my 193 cochise is fucking rad.

193 gunsmoke would be a great all mountain/freestyle/freeride/#whatever ski imo.

the 193 is layed up a bit stiffer than the 186.

yeah im not a big dude, 5'9" ~165ish. I haven't ridden a cochise before but i think it might be worth checking out. I know blizzard makes baller skis but i was also looking at the 4frnt kye 110. im a big fan of light and playful skis but i think im wanting two pretty exclusive things to skis
