The project that's spanned more than half a decade, bringing the original Valve's Half-Life updated with Source engine graphics, new music, sounds, animations etc. tech babble as a fan project...

Finally here, to download and play for free! Half-Life for me was one of those groundbreaking games, better than HL2 and more rememberable, played on a friend's comp as a kid when we couldn't afford one. Now it's back, in an all-new glory.

All you need to play it is Steam and the Source SDK 2007, which you can download from Steam under Library --> Tools --> SDK 2007.

And there you go. Two game threads today, but hey, legendary games they are. Enjoy.

Prepare for unforeseen consequences.

It's out already, though even the torrent (3,8 gigs) took somewhile to download.

First to the sauna, then I'll start playing - oh, what straight-edge Friday night...

I can't and won't care.

I want Half-Life 3.

Or Half-Life 2 Episode 3 which they promised.

Frankly I don't even want it, I NEED HALF-LIFE 3

Well, this is not Valve related production wise so don't give a shit, and take a run through the corridors of BM once again!

I only played for a minute, checking the options and there's a fucking select key for the Gravity Gun. Colour me excited.

I played until the second chapter and boy am I glad about this game. It's the same gameplay I fell in love with, fused with HL2 graphics (even better I guess) and playing on Hard is pretty fucking hard, even the creepers do a shitload of damage.

There's a lot of funny new dialogue in the intro, plus more formal entries from the two main scientists from HL2. It's just friggin' excellent and I doubt it'll get any better than this before #3.
