Yea dude, Ive known that for ever. It was on the news awhile ago. The worst part is that you usually cant take the monitoring devices out because it will mess up the compter, they do this on purpose

everyone on this site thinks that big corporations are out to get them. Geez. Its just a box that records your speed, rate of deceleration and stuff like that. Its not like a cop is just gonna pull you over plug into your car and see if you were ever speeding and then give you a ticket.

no not yet... i say yet because they could start using that for things like that cops could have check stations random and check your speeds from the box. i'm not saying they (corporation(sp))are out to get us but its another way they watch our lives and how slowly but surly we are becoming what the book 1984 warnded us about, a society where our every move is watched

That's crazy. I think that it's good technology that can maybe make cars safer in the future. I don't like the potential Big Brother aspect, but since it has some useful things, I think it's ok. I don't like that they don't tell people about it. It's something you should be told about when you're looking at cars. It could even be a marketing thing for soccer moms who want the safest cars.

The website said, 'Consumers can check to see if their vehicle is equipped with a 'sensing and diagnostic module' by checking their owner's manual.' I'm going to check mine next time I'm in my car. That would be a good thing to know.
