If this is the wrong forum, sorry, I didn't see a equipment repair section. But anyway I got these boot about a year ago used so I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it is this pair: http://www.amazon.com/boots-mens-Alpina-Expert-mondo/dp/B005V6JKLIÂ
So at the beginning of a trip the boots fine, nothings wrong. But after a while to the point where I think that the sole pad swishes down It felt like there was rock under the sole. I kept forgetting to remove the "rock", but after a little bit of early season skiing today I decided I should go into the lodge and remove it. When I looked in the boot with the sole removed I saw what looked like the head of a nail. There was a screw directly under it on the bottom of the boot, so I tried tightening that, but it didn't do anything. I'm not sure what to do to remove it. Would a ski shop be able to remove it? Or can I do some DIY?
Here are some pics:
Boot with Nail
The other boot shows no sign of this nail at all. Can I just like cut it off, crow bar it out, hammer it in? And is this a known problem?
