Bivy Bag VS One man tent

This is more related to backcountry and winter camping but I'm wondering if people have experience with both of these sleep systems. I currently have a -20 bag with a liner and I am wondering which will provide more degrees and the packability of both.

Bivvy bag. If you get in the shit in a blizzard you can dig a slit trench and get down out of the wind. A tent is no good to anybody when it blows away. Bivvy is also much more compact.

Just to add, it's amazing how much insulation you get from a foam roll mattress underneath you, even if it's just under your torso... bulky to carry though.
