Bitcoin Mining

Does anyone have any experience with this subject. I am totally lost when it comes to the idea, so any information would be helpful. This is very vague, but I'm interested in the idea, but I don't know where to start.

all the easy coins have been found, you need some serious computing power to get a return.

dont even fux with it unless your building your own computer to harvest bitcoins that are extremely difficult to find.

They don't actually have any value.....it's a currency that was made up out of thin air. It's a system for stupid people to trade money with each other. Basically Pokemon cards 2013.

I dont get how they work, but a friend told me a week or so ago that basically the cost of mining for them is like the same as what they are worth so its pointless

Yeah it takes some pretty serious computing power to mine them. and that computing power costs $: http://butterflylabs.com/. It is not feasible to mine them on your standard laptop/desktop computer.
