Bindings ripped out

So on my line stepups I had one mount filled in. The mount being used is like 1cm or so away from the previous filled in hole. The heel piece on the one ski ripped out and now three of the 4 holes are stripped. What would anyone recommend me doing? Ive thought of trying those quiver killer things or just buying helicoils, but the thing is that idk what would happen since the holes are so close together. any suggestions appreciated.

could you post some pics ?

anyways, without having seen it in person, i'd suggest taking it to your shop and have a talk about what is possible ....

Heli coils may be possible but, the old holes are probably too close and heli colis never hold that well on park skis anyway. Best would be to try to mount further away from the old holes but by the sounds of it your core may be somewhat damaged, hence why the binding ripped out.

Take them to a shop with a good tech centre and see what they say.

just going from the picture, it looks to me like those holes are way too close to the old one, i don't think a helicoil or insert will help you out ...

best bet would be a complete remount forward or backwards of the old holes and hoping your core is still in good shape, or start looking for a new ski

(core doesn't look too fresh to me either, i've had 2 bindings rip out on me and it was always bright springy woodchips, yours look grey.... )

^^or find new bindings with a different mounting pattern (but that will be quite difficult and you'll need to take the time and effort to meticulously measure out all the dimensions and puzzle it together ....

(i just hope your core just looks bad but is in fact still ok ....)

Stepups are symmetrical, try flipping the skis around and mounting them, should have enough room then.

I always remember the line reps saying that the stepups and a-bangs were able to be mounted both ways. The tech manual for Line said that same thing. Id venture yes.

yeah all the line symmetrical skis have symmetric flex. i have a friend who mounted one of his abangs backwards, and i knew someone who mounted invaders backward.

my #1 suggestion would be to never go to whatever shop you got those mounted at again. unless your landing sw super forward (over noses) on 70ft jumps or 20 ft to flat over and over, there's really no reason for bindings to rip out.
