Bindings mounted all catywompus

so i got jesters mounted on my fat powder rockers and i noticed today that the bindings on one of the skis were mounted about 1/4 inch farther to one side than the other, nothing is too noticeable when im riding around on them but im wondering whether i should take them in or not, of course i would love them to be mounted down the middle of the ski but i dont want to be forced to move the bindings farther back on the ski and have more holes in the ski if its not necessary . has anyone had this happen before?/ what should i do?
 
no comments about the binding mount but i am excited to see the word "catywompus" used more often.
 
dude take em back, that can actually be a big deal when you land in pow because one ski will want to turn in front of the other.
 
basically the only reason i clicked on the thread.

to the op, take em back to the shop, they should fix em for free. maybe give some shop credit as well.
 
1/4inch is not enough to make a noticeable difference....
your shop could do 3 things: 1)remount em forward or backward from original mount (they cant just remount 1ski 1/4mm forward or backwars, the holes will be too close ...)2) new skis + fresh mount (this time done correctly)3) give you a coupon for stuff from their shop
i wouldn't recommend option 1, try to go for 2 or 3, with 3 being the fairest and easiest for both you and your shop ....
 
Id go in and be nice and politely point out the mistake. Id offer to ride them as is and tell them to give me the $ back from the mount. Its not like they are race skis, a 1/4 on some pow pow boards wont make any diff.
 
hahahahahahahaha catywompus, hilarious. but yeah, try to get some new skis. you have to be forced to mount them in a spot you don't want them to be mounted due to shop error.
 
Good luck trying to get new skis. From working in a shop for four years, I dont think I ever saw it work like that. I lied once on a pair of volkl GS skis. Did you buy the skis from them?
 
yea i work at a shop. They will give you a free remount and a ton of store credit. just get them remounted like 1 cm back and theyll be fine. then you can buy a bunch of shit with the store credit
