Binding Questions

So I realized I have a question that the binding thread doesn't mention. I went into a shop today just shopping around for a new pair of bindings and the guy in the store mentioned that because of the boots I have (rubber rockered soles with at toe and heel) that I don't have much for options other than marker lords. so my question to the ns community is, are the market lords good bindings (I've always had marker and never had any complaints), and is that true that because of he toe piece I shouldn't be using other bindings? Any help?

Tecnica cochise 120 with AT toe and heel piece... not that it really matters the question more involved any boots with that kind of sole

I asked because some models have the ability to remove the soles for an ISO DIN toe and heel part. But it does not look like the Tecnicas do, they even make a point of mentioning on their website that they do not work with WTR bindings. I'm sure the markers will be fine.

Well mine do have the ISO alpine toes as well, in just not keen on swapping them all the time. But more to my point is that the jesters with the sole.ID are made to be compatible with both types of boots soles, wondering if there are other bindings out there that are the same/ if I should be buying new bindings for my all mountain skis because they might not release when I need them although they were good all last season

If your boots are comparable to the WTR system in bindings you have more options. The newer FKS/Pivot line are WTR compatible and so is the STH2 bindings. Might I ask why you're not keen on swapping them? if you have a touring setup, I get it an would probably just go with some bindings comparable to your boots, but if you don't id just swap out the ISO toes and heals and be on your way.

Well that's good to know then, and yes I have a touring set I use often enough it would just wear then out if I swapped then ask the Time. plus it's only I set of bindings I have that are not compatible.. should I look at get no one for that set as well?
