Binding Problems

I started doing Nose Butters a few weekends ago. I was doing them pretty frequently throughout the day. The next weekend I tried them and when I did my first one I popped out of my bindings. I kept trying but I could only stay in my bindings when I barely put any forward pressure on the skis. Don't really know much about DIN settings or anything else having to do with binding adjustment. This has never happened until now so is it possible that I damaged them?

you might have to adjust your DIN or forward pressure. if you don't know about forward pressure google it +the type of bindings you have and you will know. if you have to crank up your din do it very slightly cause if it's too high you can fuck your legs up. if you have salomon bindings you will probably just need to buy new bindings don't even fucking bother.

Ok thanks, can the settings change or get messed up by just skiing or putting pressure on them, because I have skied a lot with out this happening.

Your din should not change from riding. Check what they're at, adjust them if need be, and check again at the end of the day. If your din is changing throughout the day, there is something seriously messed up with your bindings and you should not ride with them.

potentially but not likely I don't think.

it could be the way you're doing the trick too. if you are just leaning your body forward like a wacky whaling inflatable arm flailing tube man there is no surprise your bindings release. you gotta make sure you're doing the stand on your tippy toes inside your boots type thing and really shift your weight over your noses. if ya know what I mean

Yeah I know it's probably not the way Im doing it because I had been doing them for a while now and the problem only started recently. Im confused on how they could possibly got worn out or something by doing the trick a lot, but I'm definitely still gonna check my DINs.

For sure check your forward pressure and din. Dins really can never change during the course of skiing however some Rossignol / Look binding will lose forward pressure through out their life. Another thing to check is the wear on your heels (do you walk a lot on cement, are the worn down?)

You can always take them to a shop and have a release test preformed. If you had them mounted this year take them to the shop you had them mounted at and I'm sure they will do it for free.

What binding do you have?

comprehension fail sorry

No Worries, this is a little off the original topic but I think the STH2 driver toe is the best on the market (despite its bulkyness) the heel has some work to do though. I have always wanted to mount a ski with a Salomon driver toe and Rossignol FKS heel. Best toe/best heel, what could go wrong.
