Binding problems

i am not very good in the park but give it a fair go.

I often find that if i am landing backwards and bailing, if my skis eject the brakes bend or some other part of the binding breaks. I guess ebcause the brake only really works if your going forwards. I find myself having to replace parts of my binding all the time because of this.

Are there any bindings that dont do this?

cheers

jack

bring em to your local shop and have em either raise your din or set your forward pressure.

did you even read his post??

if u fall landin switch, its is just more likely that you will bend or break somethin bc the brakes are designed to stop the ski when its goin forward

Ok im a ski technician for a local riders shop in Nendaz, Switzerland`.

Our shop riders are always bending their brakes out of shape. Do not just crank the dins up on your binding.

as the above said go to your local shop and let them know.

The only other thing i can suggest is make sure you have a decent binding.

we personally rate the marker jester and the dynastar big trouble.

ok,

So basically there is nothing you can do about it once it has happened other than get a new brake/bend it back into shape?

So the best option is to get a decent binding and then be prepared to have to repair it?

I lost my ski last week :(

i was skiing switch on some freshly groomed groomer, no people around, i hit a bump, i catch a brake, i eject i smack down uber-hard ( i was going really fast) i wake up to see my heelpiece lying next to me :( i look around and see my ski heading straight for a gulley... i run/ski after it on one ski, it gos into some deep pow, so i ski as far as i can on one ski, but then it gets really steep so i decide to walk down and have a look from below....

after 3h searching, i abandoned my baby...

luckily i had friends in a skishop and apparently someone took my ski down and returned it to their shop, so i could just pick it up, 1 day, 10dollar and some helix screws later i landed my first frontflip on my repaired beauties ! :D

great times after all !
