Binding mounts

Depends on the ski and how/what you ride in the park.

If the ski is symmetrical, the obvious answer is yes, that's the absolute best place to mount them no matter what you're doing.

If the ski is close to symmetrical (tip is only a few millimeters wider than the tail) AND you ski mostly rails, then I'd personally say that center is best as well.

If the side cut has a big difference and/or you ski mostly jumps, recommended is best, halfway between recommended and center is still pretty good, and center is fine, you'll notice some differences in carving, which could effect your jumps depending on how you approach jumps.

For the most part, mounting position is really personal preference and up to the rider. For example, personally, I don't mount my park skis anywhere other than center because I ski mostly rails and smaller east coast jumps so I can adapt my carve for the difference. Most park skis now a days can handle center mount anyways, is the absolute best position, well, again that depends on the ski and the rider to make the choice.
