Binding Mounting Question

So I'm from Australia and I'm heading to the snow soon for this season. I was having a look at my skis however and noticed that they dont seem mounted in the position I wanted...

I have AR7's and asked to get them mounted at -2.5 last year, as I want to ski 50/50 park/all mtn. I didnt think much of it, but then I was measuring them today and the factory recommended mark at -5 is pretty much an equal distance from that point to either end of the binding. Am I measuring them wrong? Whats the best way to measure where bindings have been mounted on skis? And if they are at -5 is it worth getting them remounted?

Thanks guys.

If you look at the bottom of your boots there will be two small lines printed in the shell. These lines are the mid point of the boot. If you put the boot in the binding the lines on the boot will line up with the point the bindings were mounted to. So if they line up with the -5 line they are 5cm back

Ok so I checked it with the boot and its not exactly on -5 or -2.5. looks closest to -4...

Just so you know I measured from the end of the binding to the end of the ski and the front of the binding to the front of the ski, and the distance to the front is 10cm longer. Does that make sense?

I want to start doing rails this year, should I remount them or it wont make a huge difference?

That's not exactly a scientific way of measuring it. The heelpiece of the bindings is almost always going to be longer, plus the distance from the midsole to the end of the binding is 110% arbitrary and has nothing to do with anything.

As mentioned, it goes off the boot midsole mark and I somehow feel like you're not managing that quite right either.

As stated above, you can't measure from the front and back of the binding because the toe and heel are not the same length / size. Have you gotten new boots since these have been mounted? Seems like they've been adjusted for a different boot if your midsole line isn't lining up properly.

I got some photos... how can i attach them?

Pretty much there are no markings on the bottom of the boots except the letter A, with an indented line. Im assuming thats the mid point. The boots are dalbello krypton core id's.This indented line does not line up with the point for -5 or -2.5 on the ski, so thats a bit odd... if they are at -5. Should i remount them for rails/boxes?
