Binding Mounting Help

Hi, so i got a pair of new alpahs 1s (170). My question is about how to get them mounted. I think they should be true center but i dont know anything about mounting. Where should i get them mounted?

I like to ride switch alot and rotate off jumps. Having center mounts should make switch easier correct? Would it affect rotating?

Last season i was riding the rossignol s1 and it was centered more towards the tail. Riding switch wasnt terrible but switching back to regular was sometimes a pain.

The reason im asking is that my ski shop has always mounted all my skis with more tip then tail. I'm not knowlegable about bindings so any insight here would be much appricaited.

Thank You.

tell your local ski shop that you want your skis mounted at center, they should, if they know anything about mounting, be able to do it. If they don't, go somewhere else.

And yes, center mounting skis is better for skiing switch and switch take offs.

Center mount certainly helps for skiing/taking off switch. With the Alpha 1 in particular, I hesitate to go true center. With the EST shape the ski has slightly more tip rocker than tail rocker. So if you mount it true center then you are effectively mounting it ahead of center. My opinion is to mount it at 1.5cm back from true center.
