BINDING DINS

I HAVE A PAIR OF SALOMON COMP. SPRINGS WITH DINS THAT ARE FROM 9-16. WOULD THE DINS ON THOSE BINDINGS BE TO HIGH FOR ME. I WANT TO PUT THEM ON MY K2 AK ENEMY SKIS. I WEIGH ABOUT 165 LBS AND I AM ABOUT 6 ft. 1 in. THANKS

last year i was skiless for a little while and i got tired of my shitty back-up skis so i decided to rent some skis for a day or two... when i went into the rental place they tried to give me a pair of like 150's or maybe even smaller (and it took me like 10min of arguing with the guy that i wanted 178's - he was trying to say some bullshit about how they're parabolic and didn't belive me when I said I ski park), than when I finally get the skis the dudes like 'what do you want your dins set it? (they went to 9)' I told him to crank em' up and he's like 'ok, but it's your knee's.' I had a good laugh. later that day Doug and I were having races to see who could get the furthest up this dirt hill on the side of one of the trails... and skiing over rocks, and other stuff (of course the bindings came off all the time, silly rental dude)... when i brought the skis back they were really wrecked, it was funny.

not sure what that has to do with anything, just came to mind when you said something about the dins on your binding.

dude, if you use those dins on your trick skis in the park YOU WILL DIE!!! if you have a good pair of park skis with a lot of flex (which the enemys have) they will absorb the shock of the landings so all you really need din wise is five or six.

I'm as close to god as you'll ever get....

if you have good bindings, they'll allow your boot to move partway out, then pull it back in...if your bindings suckass you'll just fall out...so if the binding goes from 9 to 16, it's a race binding which means it's designed to not let go unless you hit a fence an 120 km/h...so i'd say that's too high...go for a din of about 8-10 and try to to use a 9-16 binding on din 9...the spring is totally all the way out, and wont work properly...also, dont use a 3-10 because the spring will be totally loaded...try to get a 5-12, or something..that would be good for you

ya, definately, 9-16 is really high, well I would say about 10 is right, but 16? Damn... thats liek crazy glue to your feet!
