Binding/brake question

I have a pair of old look p12s (the pre PX version) mounted on an old pair of public enemies. I'm going to buy a new pair of chronics, and Im planning to put the p12s on my chronics (because Im poor, and I love those bindings). Now the problem is that my public enemies have an 80mm waist that my brakes barely fit over, and the chronics have an 85 mm waist.

So my question is if I buy wide brakes for the px12s, will they fit on my p12s ? And if not, is bending my current brakes possible to make them fit over the 85 mm waist ?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I was able to bend 80 mm Salomon brakes enough to fit an 85 mm waist, so i think you should just try to bend the brakes before you get a new pair. I don't know if the PX brakes would fit the P12s though.

it wont be hard to bend them. there is a video on youtube that shows you how. or have your shop do it. and what size PEs have an 80mm waist? my 164s from 05/06 were 85 underfoot

i have seen fks breaks bent to be mounted on EPs,ARGs,Bents, and thugs so yes. there is a huge tgr thread on it. but im guessing you already knew all that Alex

would NOT recommend doing that on rossi axial 1 or p series brakes, they are not stable in the plastic, that method will break the plastic, the brakes he bends in this video are the easiest brakes to bend of all bidnings, the salomon 990 series have butter brakes but the axial 1 p series are the toughest metal with flimsiest plastic
