Binding adjustment

I just got my JJ's mounted with a pair of Jesters, and I found out that the rear part of one of the bindings was a bit further forward than the other, so I adjusted it a bit backwards. Now both my boots stand at about 2,3 cm ahead of recommended. I was supposed to have them at 2 cm, so would it work if I just adjusted the rear parts a bit backwards, or would it become too spacious for my boots then?

are you pissing about .3cm? adjusting them would fuck up the forward pressure. Generally it is a good idea not to mess with them at all unless you know how to check for forward pressure.

Not really pissing about it, just wondering if it would be a good idea to do it, but apparently it isn't, so I guess I'll leave them.

But I didn't fuck anything up when I adjusted the one backwards to make them even?

the toe is fixed and there is a certain amount of forward pressure the heel needs to have in order to release correctly - so there is no way you can actually 'move the binding' back unless you remount, (which isn't an option for less than half a cm or whatever you are talking about)

Forward pressure is paramount

Well, I adjusted the one that was the furthest ahead of 2cm. No idea if that was the one who was correctly adjusted in the first place or not though, but it seems logic that the one farthest away from where he was trying to mount is the one that is messed up.

you need to go back to the shop that mounted them, and have them check the release settings on each ski. if you fucked it up, have them fix it. if they mis mounted, get them to get a new set of skis, there is no excuse but laziness for a shop to fuck that up
