Congress gave final approval Wednesday night to a budget compromise that would temporarily reopen federal agencies and allow the Treasury to continue borrowing to pay the nation’s bills, averting the possibility of a default that could have seriously damaged the economy.

So what does this mean, is this just a temporary fix, and will it shut down again, or are we now free to go to work?

this, congressmen just keep pushing it off for the next batch, itd be so easy for us to cut costs, people just need to change their lifestyles-which i know is dreadfully hard for us stupid amedicans

it amazes me that our government was willing to suck us into another war while we are in the fattest debt in history

this. it's so surprising that the government is too worried about opening back up so their reputation isn't as tarnished instead of taking care of a real issue.someone gave the analogy that the debt ceiling is like if your house got flooded to the ceiling with sewer water. do you clean it out? or just build higher ceilings. outrageous to me
