Bill Clinton Calls Out GOP's War On Voting

Clinton also increased peacekeeping forces too, which became largely unpopular thanks to Operation Gothic Serpent and the causalities it caused.

quite a few people werent even alive im sure on here when he was pres. but thats not the point, i was young too...ill re-elect him just for the fact that 91 octain was below a buck.

2 things he messed up though

repealling glass steagall.....helped lead to the current economic downturn

The National Homeownership Strategy: Partners in the American Dream.....wayyyyy to aggressive in his attempt at mass home ownership.....lead to some of the problems today too

just my opinion

to the pink names, grow up, if your husband is a politician especially president you know hes getting it on with multiple people, you win some you lose some, you have to know that going into it. Youre get first lady but your husband gets to sleep around

The Americans that were there on peacekeeping were pulled out before TFR was sent. The only other American forces in country during that time were the 10th mountain and 160th SOAR. Both being attached to TFR

quoting this as good shows you clearly lack any kind of economic understanding and invalidates everything else you've said.

the best thing about this thread is the complete lack of posts regarding the original issue. you can bullshit all you want about whatever Bill Clinton did in THE PAST, but that's just your way of sidetracking a real issue that is pretty damn difficult to defend.

While he did sign the gramm-leach-billey act (repealed the glass steagall act) the law was co-sponsored by republicans, and signed in by a republican congress, and a large majority of the votes against it were by democrats. That being said there were a lot of democrats in both the senate and the house that agreed to it, there were only a handful of senators who voted against it (all democrats though). So I find it hard to lay all of the blame for this on Bill Clinton. While ultimately he did sign the act in the end, he was a very bipartisan guy. Overall great president, big fan.

Its sort of interesting how this thread turns into such a huge argument. I don't know how anyone can disagree with what Bill said in that video.

of course, you can never put the plan in one persons hands, I'm the least bi-partisan person you can meet, im so far right im left,

RON PAUL 2012......my second time voting for him, 2008 didnt go as planned, lets see where 2012 takes us

Ohh absolutely I don't disagree with you. I'm just saying that there is always more to a picture than the soundbites might lead you to believe, and an individual effort to change a particular aspect of electoral law may be legitimate. Shit, I vote here and will continue to do so.

But if there is a comprehensive rationale behind a particular proposed policy, using sweeping generalizations like "war on voting" isn't really fair. Why not address the policy on its own terms and win through reasoning, instead of trying to elicit a knee-jerk emotional reaction by glossing over details?

Also, this thread devolved into a pile of manure pretty darn quick. The more things change, the more NSG stays the same.

well i think somebody who cures cancer or bulids computers (rich people) should have their vote count more than somebody who does not speak proper english and lives off of money thats taken away from productive members of society, so... although its hillary clinton who he cheated on, its still pretty sleazy to cheat on your wife, i dont know i think clinton needs to pipe down

So because someone is poor means they shouldn't have a say in what the government is doing? thats complete bullshit and goes against everything this country is supposed to stand for
