my friend did 2 legit builds a couple years ago. I don't remember much of it now, but the DH build was a Sinister R9, I believe with a boxxer, and then a pornking for DJ that was partially stripped (took the front brake off, not sure if he ever went single seed though)

built a custom wu bike last summer to sell, think im gonna do another this summer

Uhhh... You definitely can't mix and match like this if you want it to work, not trying to call you out or anything just hoping its a mistake or something. Sram uses a 1:1 actuation ration for their rear drivetrain stuff, shimano uses 2:1.

shorter crank arms make it way harder to skid / generally control the bike if you ride brakeless

but if you're hittin the ground then you will eventually get wrecked lol i leaned in to a turn and my pedal came down on the curb... definitely my worst fall last summer.

shit,

Well, my bike build is currently:

Rocky Mountain RMX Frame (large)

888 RC2

Full Saint drive train (+crank arms)

Avid Code breaks (front and back, 8" discs)

Cane Creak head, Crank Bros BB

Fox DHX5.0 Coil

Chromag wide bars

DeeMax rims (front and back)

Kenda Nevegal tires (Front and back)

Total weight: 51.2 lbs (never go up a hill on this thing)

That is basically a pure park build, my old race bike was a bitch to keep maintained so now I have a tank that only needs maintenance 2-3 times a year to keep it running in top shape.

we used to have a nice setup in the woods too, but a broken neck got them torn down. Just another reason to not live in ontario

it is an 06 and if you maintain a bike well and dont abuse the frame it can run for years longer than you would expect. I am willing to bet that this bike is in better shape than most park bikes that are two years old, none the less six years old.

Ar6: As I said, never go up a hill on it. I only take it on shuttles with a hike that is under 30 minutes or to the bike park (lift accessed riding)

My baby is getting some work done.

Finally got my bike again, listed off/in the midst of ordering in all the new parts, basically the only original part that'll be left is the frame. So stoked, don't know shit about bikes but it's great to have a roommate that's all about'em.
