Biggest Year in Calli?

Yeah my buddy moved up to Tahoe this summer to work at Heavenly and his hours got cut enough to warrent him getting a second job.

I'm stoked right now though we just got like 3 or 4 feet or something. Two days till I can get out though.

Even with all of this snow lately, the Tahoe National Forest is only at 50% snowpack water content. It might be deep but this cold/light snow events are not typical for Tahoe. This was discussed on NPR radio this morning on my way to work.

We passed last year's snow fall this week in Mammoth and we passed the average yearly snowfall today. Still have another storm coming in on Saturday and then March and April to go....
Too bad the mountain is still doing bad financially and everyone is still getting laid off.

two years ago tahoe was at like 8% snowpack or something like that at this point. That was the worst year i ever lived there. Last year wasnt much better. Then i moved this past summer and it seems like it still is not getting much better down there, :(.

I'm trying to get up to mammoth this weekend, sounds like some epic conditions. Just need to find a ride and I'm good to go. :D

Storm total for Mamm was 68 inches at 9200!!! This next storm is supposed to be bigger but warmer. Maybe starting as rain in town. good luck tahoe.

Yup, they're calling for snow levels in Tahoe as high as 8000. Not good. Mammoth is looking sick right now.

pretty much shit rain right now... with like gehtto snow at night that melts in the day with the rain...

we have an allright base though... should be alright but could always use ALOT more snow!

Mammoth reporting 15 inches this morning. Winds are around 100 mph sustained on the top. It's puking!!! Colder air on the way maybe. check out www.patrol.mammothmountain.com for the facts.
