What is the biggest lip on blind 2 you have ever seen. Personaly this is the biggest one I have seen its at 1:53

I always just use the editor. It's super easy and you can just paste the vid in and it does it for you :)

I filmed ross doing a pretty large lip on blind 2 in minnesota when we were on the tell a friend tour. the wallride/shipping container at afton alps

go to 7:27 to see Ross land the only trick

Switch tails over is more akin to lipslide in my opinion. Both are great but switch tails looks more like a lipslide to me because you swing the tails over and kind of move through the rail much like you would with a lipslide.

People are downvoting this because switch tails is the exact opposite of switch lip but you have a point. It does look more of a lip on sometimes. I personally think its because you have the same form when you get on. when doing both switch tails and lip on you have your noses pointed down and you are facing away from the rail when in the air. Your skis first hit the rail at a point behind you where you cant see it/(difficult to see) . If you paused a video where a skier was 90 to the rail but still some height above the rail. It would look the same for both lip on and switch tails. Another thing is that you have to focus quite a bit on just getting your tails up high even if the lip is on the same level as the feature.

In reality, switch tails is the opposite of lip on, but they actually are really similar when you look at them.

On a lip on you carve in the opposite way that you're gonna spin 90

On a sw lip on (nose over) you carve in the opposite way that you're gonna spin 90

why are we even arguing? sw lip on is sw lip on for a reason

This isn't a matter of opinion, sw lip is a lip slide because you bring your back tips over the rail. That is the definition of a lip slide. Sw tails is the exact same motion as a normal urban on, front tips over the rail first.

Regular lip on could just be called tails over...

Yea... and? What are you even arguing?

Lipslide in every sport is bringing the back of your board/skis over the rail first. If you do a switch lipslide on a skateboard you still bring your back truck over first, it doesn't change for skiing either.

Switch tails and lip on are the same exact motions with your body and skis... They have much more in common than regular lip switch lip.

Dude, you are wrong.

You disagree but fail to rationalize why...

With lip slide and tails over you get onto the the rail with your back facing the rail. With regular slides and lip slides you get onto the rail facing it as you make contact.

I think the people disagreeing me are getting hung up on the name. A lipslide by any other name is still just as beautiful.

Sorry for derailing this thread though.

4:02 , not the biggest lip on blind 2, but a good one.

I guess my original post is where the misunderstanding lies. I don't think that switch tails should be referred to as a lipslide. I get that lipslide involves and opposite spin. What I was trying to convey is that lipsides and switch tail over entries look alike.

Sw tails is the same motion/ation as regular urban on, front tips over the rail first.

Sw lip is the same motion/action as lip on back tips over the rail first.

The only similarity is if you go on the same side of the rail you land with the same foot forward.
