The jumps are so different in the US than the ones in Europe. Here our jumps have a shitload more pop, which sometimes is quite scary (when hitting a bigger kicker) but sometimes it's awesome.

i think thats because a lot more people snowboard in the states, and snowboarders don't like poppy jumps.

I way prefer when jumps are super poppy. Nothing I hate more than jumps that send you really deep but give you no air, they always get me backseat. All the jumps at my home mountain are like that cause everyone snowboards and it really pisses me off. Occasionally they'll get a nice poppy one up.
And w/e the last jump in Main Park at Mammoth last April was the biggest I've ever hit. Straight aired it on my last run of the trip and it was scary as fuck. At least 700 million feet from lip to landing.

Well last year I overshot #3 in Freeway at Breck, so at least 100 in the air (ouch). Intentionally my biggest is more like 80, I think that jump is 70-75 feet to the knuckle.
