Hi freeskiers,
I hope you all had a great summer and you’re ready to
rip the winter!!
We at BEFSA (Bulgarian Extreme and Freestyle Skiing
Association) are planning on making the upcoming
winter the most exciting ski season in the Balkans
ever. Last two years we have been in touch with IFSA
and we managed to organize a couple of Big Mountain
Events in Bulgaria and a few Skier Cross runs.
Unfortunately none of these events had any
international competitors.
For this winter, we are planning to organize a real
international Big Mountain skiing comp at the resort
of Bansko, in the Pirin mountains in Bulgaria
somewhere around 20 February – 20 March 2002. The
event is to be two days in a weekend and we aim to
have an award fund of 5000 DEM (around 2500 Euro) as
well as gift prizes.
We would like to invite all of you to come and ski our
wonderful slopes and compete together with us. Of
course, the event depends totally on the sponsors we
will be able to attract. We have been having some
talks and our prospective sponsors are greatly
interested in international participants.
We would like to ask you, if you find our event
attractive and will you come and participate in it. We
will strongly appreciate if you email us, so that we
can estimate how many international skiers might come
to Bulgaria.
