Anyone gonna be there this weekend? Wondering how conditions will be since its supposed to rain all week. Ill be there no matter what
 
I was just there Saturday. Conditions were pretty good but slushy. Boulder Park the final jump was too slow to clear the knuckle. I did a backflip and literally landed dead center on the knuckle like 20 feet from the sweet spot.

But other than that you could book it into any of the jumps and have enough speed to clear. There is still ice on the lake so it gets pretty cold at night there. Should be open another few weekends barring shitty weather.
 
Wish I would have went today. If they don't close this weekend I would guess the 19th. I don't think they have ever stayed open until May Day.

We're you the guy in the khaki saga jacket? I think I saw you there I was in a black north face Hoodie and khaki pants.

Anyways boulder almost always tries there hardest to make the park great. so it should be good no matter what. Last Saturday the whole mountain was packed with features. The only bad part was that the lips were small and falling apart in freedom. I'll probably be there on Saturday so maybe we could meet up and take a few laps.
 
was at boulder saturday as well. it was slushy, but nice spring conditions. i'd think they'll have it all ready to go by saturday, they always do. i'll take any conditions... we're in PA

I was wearing khaki pants and an orange flannel Patagonia jacket, same as my profile pic. I was hiking the last jump on Freedom park most of the day

Side note: hiking seems to be a lost art. I was the only person I saw hiking all day. Maybe it's cuz I ski by myself and most people are in groups but I find hiking very cathartic and gives me time to mentally envision myself throwing the trick and building confidence. I love hiking. Plus it's a good workout.

Completely agree. When I was first learning we would hike a single rail for hours, now I rarely see it happening at my mountain. Probably because there is a jbar and the park has a lift that is perfect for hot lapz.

I think I saw you. Hiking is great I agree. It's really my favorite aspect of skiing. I think it's one of the most important ways to progress someone's skiing . Anyways wouldn't it be crazy to see someone tranny the freedom jump to down on the battleship?
