Hey hey....hope ya'll are keepin it real & livin' large this week. Here's the
latest on the Big Air Comp THIS SUNDAY, MARCH 2ND, @ 7-OAKS IN BOONE!!
Cost: Daily Lift ticket plus $5 entry fee.
--Prizes: There should be prizes for the 1st and 2nd place winners, after that,
it still kind of depends. Should be some Red-Bull, maybe some lift passes,
ski/board wax, that type of shit.
--GRAND PRIZES are an INVITATION TO THE ON-SNOW DEMO IN THE KEG SHOP PARKING LOT
FOR VEISHEA. The top winners will receive an invite to PERFORM THEIR TRICKS, IN
A HALF/QUARTER PIPE, DURING VEISHEA IN APRIL.
--The River 'Bank' Booter: Big Tabletop, possibly in the range of 20-25'.
Groomed BY HAND by an expert in park design and designed for big landings (aka
no flatness)
--The comp: Judged on style, difficulty, and amplitude. Broken down into 2 age
divisions 17 & under and 18 & over. Also broken down into snowboards, skiers
and snolerblades/skiboards. Each person should get 3 hits, maybe 4 with the
lowest score thrown out.
--Judges: should be 2-4 judges, 1-10 rating just how much they like your shit.
--Time: Check in starts at noon and goes to 12:45 with comp starting at 1. If
all goes well, this will be a regular event and possibly a series next year.
We need AS MANY rippers and riders out there who WANT TO go BIG, to come out and
hit it. The more we get, the more opportunities WE ALL get to do stuff like this
all next Winter!!!
