well, all you got to do is winding up a little bit, then start the rotation when you are about to leave the ground.

I'm feeling greeaaaattt!!!!

I think if u wind up too much its hard...cause then u spin too fast and end up over rotating...I barely wind up and then spin slowly and spot the landing...if u wanna do 7s wind up a lot and spin harder

That was just so fresh, how you took it out of context like that...Do u have any Titanic Jokes for me?

the last thing you want to do is throw with your arms. you've got more air.... so you've got more time to go off axis.... just turn your shoulders and spot the landing.

Big 3's, try to carve them. It makes them so smooth. And when you're in the air, just pretend you are looking for a tail, until you can spot your landing. That's sorta how I imagine it.

do u start the rotation when u r still on the kicker or do u start when u 've left the kicker totally?

when i get to the lip i pop up and to the left and just keep my chin near my left shoulder. if the jump is big enough that just floats me around to 360 and i dont have to really move my arms at all.

but dont wait until you are completly off the jump to start spinning....i think that makes people have to work it around with their arms.

...

I spin with my hips not with my arms when i do big 3's. it makes the rotation look smoother and you dont spin nearly as fast, try that. Just turn your body and your hips instead of swinging your arms to spin

I wouldn't start by carving off the jump, thats a bit advanced. i just say yes, even though you sacrifice style for now when you're learning throw the arm and turn the head a bit. As soon as you feel yourself comin round all the way open up everthing your arms and legs and it'll totally stop you and your rotation. The stomp it. PRactice tons so you don't have to set it too fast and stop it but control with spins is of the essence. Being able to go as far as you want with however much you set it is very important for learning bigger spins the going to the next kicker to throw i big 180. After thats comfy go for carve take offs, i still haven't gotten those good yet. Good lUck

use your shoulders to lead a small rotation. not you arms because thatll interfere with grabs at first, and spin you too fast most likely. i suppose its however you feel compfortable doing it. like someone else said, you could try using your hips as well.

You know something that would really make me applaud? A guy gets stuck in quicksand, then sinks, then suddenly comes shooting out, riding on water skis. How do they do that?

yeah, like it has been said above, spin with your hips or shoulders...the last thing you want to do is spin with your arms (I learned from experience), just approach the jump, take a tiny windup, (you probably don't even need one if the jump is big enough) POP and spin, and try and throw a grab in there, it makes the 360 so much sicker

if the jump is 50+ feet, which is what i think you are talking about DON'T START ROTATING ON THE JUMP ! ....you dont need too, plus you will loose speed and not make the landing. Just ride off the jump and rotate slowly with your hips, and try to have the landing spotted soon wheather it;s over your tail your grabbing or just looking over your shoulder cause if you don't, you will over roatate. That was my biggest problem, i would almost land a 540 when i was just trying to float a 3. Good luck, once you start sticking them, it's the greatest feeling cause you are so high and in the air for so long. peace

if your jump is small u do want to start your rotation while still on the jump, at the very top but while your skis are still on the snow, and also if its small use your arms to rotate, stop using your arms once u can stick the 3's.

yah, but we're not talking about small jumps

depends how big it is. if its like a 50 dont ask me. about 15-20 its just a little slower rotation and for the start dont just throw ur arms. try to use more shoulder/hip action. you can pretty much control everything like that and its pretty simple and obvious why(shoulder control top of body, hips control bottom and helps with top).

just do 3s alittle bigger every day and eventully u get so good at them u can do them in a variety of sizes and u dont hardly ever crash cuz ur so used to it.
