At least you used the blank pages. Done it plenty of times in those sad moments. Mostly motel rooms because there are always bibles.
My friends were trying to tear the edge of an inked page and get the none inked margin. They honestly didn't know about the blank pages. It was sad

And if he got the actual paper from the bible from the back which could be used for notes or personal thoughts, then that is kinda bad, I wouldn't do it and I'm not even Religious. But if the paper was just the same kind of paper as in the bible then no wrong has been done, so people need to stop being butthurt about it.
