no, i have a bi-polar friend. Basically they have two emotions. Pissed to the point of killing or happy on ecstasy..it's really weird

one of my teachers had it...you'd joke with him, he'd laugh for a minute, then all of a sudden his face would actually change to normal, then confused, the super pissed off, and then he'd kick you out of class. it happened pretty often, it was great.

i dont know about that Lanks.....the stages of bi-polar are usually pretty long....its not like one second your depressed and the next your happy, its more like you'll be in a manic state for months at a time and then in a depressed state for months at a time.

jsof thats totally untrue, my ex had a mom that had really severe Bi polar and you could be sitting in the kitchen she'd be like hey what can I make for you guys? start making it, then turn around lookin super monstrous and shriek 'why the fuck can't you make your own food'. or be totally chill about me and her chillin in her room, then the next second ram a knife through the door about it. literally.

its really serious. no one should joke about it. my mom used to work with people that have bi-polar and other disorders and its not funny at all.

I have depression, but I'm not quite bi-polar I guess. I never get suicidal at all or anything, but I can get really depressed and emotional at times. It sucks a mean one. They didn't diagnose me with manic depression because I wouldn't get really mean and pissy and stuff, just sad. Who knows... They explained it really weird, but most people would never have guessed. I almost always act happy in front of other people besides my family. Blah.

I know, I usually am happy now. Especially since I've been working more. I get away from my family, and I either get to play with kids or work with marine mammals, so I love it (usually).

for the record, im not making fun of everyone with bipolar, its just that the one case i mentioned was funny to watch because of the predictibility of it all. im not saying that it is someting to always laugh at or anything.

I go to a shrink every week or every-other-week. She's more of a friend than a therapist, though. It's tight because we've gone hiking together and shit. She lives up in the mountains in Eagle River (SOOOOO beautiful where she lives), and she's young ans awesome as hell. It honestly does help a lot to have someone to talk to who you can really depend on and will actually listen and be there for you no matter what. Sure, you have to pay for it, but at least they'll be there.
