Best width for jibbing?

hey guys, im looking at getting some surface no times, but theyre kinda narrow at the waist(76mm). i was wondering, what are your thoughts on a narrow ski for jibbing? and would it be easier to jib on a narrower ski like the no times or a slightly wider ski such as atomic punx?

skinny skis will feel better for spins as they are lighter, but ading a width to a ski makes them more buttery and dampy.i prefer wider skis as they feel great on anything.

both skis youre looking at are fairly skinny.

i would suggest line chronic or something along the 90 mm mark, as skis will be great in park but youll appreciate it on softer stuff too

im getting these next year. Cannot wait, gonna be a pretty big jump from an 85 (k2 press) but one times seem like the perfect ski

yeah skis with a wider waist will feel better for jumps! but i demoed the halos and alphas and both were soooo good on jumps even thou there waist is only 82mm.. the alpha was better because its stiffer but both slayed kickers! i am buying the halos this week because they are the best ski I ever skied on in my opinion... there so good for jibs and pretty good on jumps and there sooo light and poppy! so the narrow waist will be fine in personal preference ... I have domains right now and there 90mm and i like the halos better they felt better on jumps

i just bought the surfaces, im cutting myself off from buying any more skis this season because ive already bought some line sir francis bacons, line traveling circuses, and now the surfaces. i have an addiction! i was going to buy some halos but i dont have the money, i think i will next year

holy shit why would you buy the surface skis when you have the TC thats a awesome ski i heard !! and hell yeah i am never gonna change off of armada skis that my favorite brand hands down!!!!! and the halo is the best ski ever in my opinion !!!!! Hornbeck is 100% correct about the halo! i recommend the halo to you for next year and there getting much much wider the halos!

btw, im buying the surfaces because the tc skis are HEAVY. the tc's weigh around 3800 grams per pair and the surfaces weigh about 2800 grams. thats about a 2 lb weight difference. normally i dont care much about having a ski on the heavier side, but these are just rediculous

you should of got the HALOS there soooooo light and poppy and awesome !!!!!! i cant wait till mine come in the mail!

lol im 15 and have no job and i cant withdraw from my bank account until im 18, the only reason i could get the surfaces is because i got them for $175 on the house lol, ill definitley get halos in the future. hit me up if you ever wana trade or sell your halos in the future

ahhhh i see thats a good reason not to get them lol.. and yeah definitely ill hit you up if i ever wanna sell them or trade

I love them. I believe it was one year where they had some issues but got them fixed up. So far I have had zero problems with mine, besides top sheet chipping which happens to all skis

If you are thinking about getting them, go for it
