Ya like it says in the title, i have a drop deck with wide ass grippy wheels for bombing hills but kinda want to learn to slide. I've started to try but it's hard as fuck with these grippy wheels. Any tips/suggestions for slidding?

any wheel with rounded edges like abec11 freerides or cult classics etc. 81a's good to get going with

This is going to be the cheapest option for slide specific wheels. You can however slide any wheel unless you got some really ridiculous shit for wheels.

The only orangatang wheel I would ever buy are the new keanus or whatever the 66mm ones are. Learning how to slide, Cult classics for sure, learnt all my standies on them. PM me if you have any other longboard related questions, love talking gear.

Purple durians? Did you slide them or just cruise? From past experiences I have durians especially 83a ones to be the loudest motherfuckers ever.

I have wheels made by Atom for cruising, so they are really soft and grippy, but once you get going, they slide super smoothly.

Is it super sketchy to ride those wheels at speed? Every time I've ever lost traction on my long board its been pretty much complete disaster

mega tsunamis are the shit. hands down my favorite wheel to use a lose second would be vault fiberflex or abec 11 retro burtz
