ISP pulled up to me in a rest stop and gave me a few tickets with out even turning his lights on, got out of one of the the other was $67, it was $200 total when the cop gave me the ticket. then said "have a great day!" so to pay that ticket off, i went to two banks and collected 6700 cents. got a flat rate box and stripped every penny loose of its roll. so grangeville police dept you have a nice day

All this because he pulled you over without lights? Maybe he was just waitning for a good safe place to pull you over and you happened to pull into a rest stop. You seem to be angry and acting like a douche for no reason.
 
i've seen it go either way. some grudgingly accept the pennies because its legal tender, but others require it to be in rolls, counted.

that was pretty funny having to watch him unfold 80 origami swans in the station while they laughed at him

flat rate box 12.50... ya ya i know its more money, but i have so much and don't know what to do with it. it was a little over 40 lbs of pennies

like i said i sent them the money, they don't want it they'll have to send it back, or the court house will be held responsible for $67. it'd be technically stealing if they didn't and as a court of law i don't think that they'd do that. so if they really don't want it by the "currency act" they will just have to spend money to send it back. idk its as easy as taking it to a bank to count it
 
ok well the whole story is, i was in my brothers truck. and i was heading back from mccall and the isp cop passes me then turns around and followed two cars behind me till i pulled over, i got out peed talked to my friends in their truck, then he just comes over said i did nothing wrong but wanted to see my info, like i said before i was in my brothers truck, ended up he didn't have and info up to date insurance and registration. i've been around this same situation and the cop said go home and let us go. not this time. the truck is insured so that is moot, just had to provide proof of insurance. the registration on the other hand couldn't avoid. so i had to pay it. the reason i did the pennies is because i saw how much he cited me and said something about it, then all he said was have a nice day. how would anyone have a nice day after getting a 200 dollar ticket. dude was a dick. so now the people he works with have to deal with his decision of being a passive cock. cops give out tickets or warnings when they please. other times they let it go. i had no idea that it wasn't registered or i would have went to the dmv before i drove 14 hours with out it. he felt like i deserved a 200 dollar ticket. i feel he needs to work around people who have to count it
 
i didn't, we buzzed outta burgborf in the morning and had to travel 7 hours. gas station food at riggans two burritos and chocolate milk.
 
Sounds like it was your fault for driving an unregistered vehicle... I fail to see why someone could get this mad in this situation. I guess if there is anyone you should be mad at it is your brother for not telling you it was registered.

true my brother is a dildo. you'd just have to be there he was being passive as hell when he said have a nice day. it wasn't sincere. he had a chip on his shoulder after handing me that. that cop would have loved for me to have an sr22 and lose my CDL. i know i'm technically at fault but what had happend could have been a huge deal to my life.

It is legal US tender and government agencies, unlike privat businesses, can't refuse service to anyone so they legally have to take it.
 
they sent a letter saying that i was stupid and if i tried it again i'd get owned. that being said they took it
 
You made a real shitty day for some poor innocent person who likely has nothing to do with the police department and probably has never met that cop. It's not like that cop is opening up mailed in payments and processing them.
 
All of you on op's case chill out. He's just going for the last laugh and it's pretty funny. The system screwed him now he's exacting his revenge. It's not like counting a bunch of rolls of pennies and driving to the bank to exchange it is gonna "ruin someone's day" anyways.

First of funny as hell secondly I watch a guy pay for a tank of gas with a plastic bag full of quarter so I don't see a problem with send the cops there's in penny's moneys money they will just accept it .
