just go to a hardware store walmart probally has epoxy, buy it, mix the epoxy stuff together put some in there get some clamps vice grips or whatever clamp your edge let it sit overnight and that will fix it. easy as pie
you're trying to tell us that they honored a warranty on edge damage??? Hmm edge damage on a twin tip... I have a hard time believing they'd send new skis for something thats screaming rail damage.
Line is the best when it comes to warranty. They stand behind their product extremely well. My old Skogens were notorious for edge damage and delam. I sent them back after a year and half of abuse. I even upgraded to the mothership by paying the difference. Contact your local rep and see what he can do. It's worth a shot, no?
what I did for my ski (what the tech did...) is just to cut broken part of the edge and fill the hole with epoxy, cause p-text wont hold if the hole is to big... seriously I dont see a big difference and the edge was broken for like 6 inch...
You can try pooring high grade epoxy into the damaged area, and use some tools to press it together. let it harden for about 24 hours and hope for the best. Its in a pretty bad area of the ski so it wil probably break up again when hitting rails and stuff its worth a shot.
You ll wanna take out the edge where it came off, but the thing is eventually the whole edge will come out ... i f you epoxyed it quite often you might have chance for it to hold for a while ... but you will just loose the edge ... i recommend takin it to a shop ... i work at one and we fix those things like once a year but good luck
yeaa i dont ever want my skis to look like that how did u get them like this grinding??? reason i ask is cause i never pay attention to my edges sharpen them or wahtever i just want to know waht you do that got them this way so i can aviod doing that
yeah if i saw some cracks when i was tuning edges i just like stayed away from them. just tell them you need those suckers fixed. if the guy says "dude i dunno if its possible i dont know how" be like "when does the manager come in then?" and let the old guy do it, he knows how.
what I would do... dig out the base at those locations, weld/epoxy the edge after you straighten it out and epoxy it to the core after you dig out your base material, then fill with p-tex after you've reattached the edge to the core...
if you just need them to be not dragging at all but dont wanna spend any money you could just take a grinder w/ a flex wheel or something and grind off whats dragging
