Best Way to break in new boots

Walk around your house/outside in them, just wearing them in general even if it's just sitting down hanging out or something.

Or, just wait till the season starts and ski them...if you've gotten the heat molded they don't really need to be broken in, they're already molded to your feet.

If they're drop kicks I'm fairly certain it says right on the box that you should play basketball in them to break them in. Almost positive.

worst idea ever. because then you will have to break in your boots the first day when you ski. IMO id rather have them broken in and be able to ski and not have to deal with my boots the opening day.

hahaha, got to admit the basketball idea was funnyI guess best thing to do would be to use a hair dryer and heat the inside of your boots... then wear them, walk around...

Hope it works, it worked for me

A guy that works at surefoot gave me that advice

TERRIBLE idea.

Clearly you never saw the thread about this kid who woke up and thought he needed his feet amputated after doing this.

Poor circulation whilst sleeping + Constricting ski boots = Terrible feet pain

Yeah that's a recipe for disaster. But for real jus wear em around the house for like an hour. Don't do anything super active in them though because this will start to add toward them packing out and for longevitys sake you'll want to keep that to a minimum. Def walk around in them at least an hour though. Some people's feet don't immediately take to the intuition liner and ya sometimes have to heat em up more than once. It'd be good to get that out of the way before making it to the mountain. That is if you are one of the few who need to do this. I for one unfortunately can't rock the intuitions because I'm on the extreme end of that spectrum. Wish I could though. But yeah I'm pretty sure there's an unwritten rule that if your boots look like something other than a ski boot, you break it in by using it fir what the boot is made to look like. Drop kick-basketball, konflict-Tim boot gangbangin and so on.

If you do put a hairdryer.in them, I wouldn't walk aroumd in them, as it is just going to make the heel bigger than you want. its not a bad idea to wear them in ur house while wacthing tv, with the weight forward on the tounge, as ur weight is forward most of the time u ski, it will give u an idea of how they fit, and if u need to have any work done. Another added benefit is that if you wear orthodics, either custom or store bought, and don't wear them normally, it will get ur feet used to them again, but in reality, the only way that you are going to actually break them in is by skiing in them.

nothing really breaks them in like skiing. you just need to get out on the moluntain and giver hell. its gunna hurt for a litle bit - new boots can suck at first. once you have a few solid days of ridinbg on them they should be a ton better.
