^I'd recommend the VX2000 if you can get one, it'll be cheaper than the 2100 and I like it better.

you wont find a gl2 from a reputable dealer for $2000...a lot of the sites you find gl2's on for $1700 are bullshit. You could deff get one used off ebay for less than $2000

Ive heard great things about the canon optura XI which is about 1100

its a 1 CCD camera but Ive heard its better than a lot of the low end 3ccd cameras, it also had optical image stabilization
