Moving to whistler for the 2015/2016 season and cant decide on what the best size ski for my skiing would be. Was thinking of some rocker 2 100s or would i want something a bit wider for those pow days?

I got a pair of Kartel 98's and they worked awesome this season in Whistler. Handled every pow day well and still throws down in the park.

Depends of what you want to compromise on. If Waiste Width then Line blends are the go. But moving up in size we have the Sir Francis Bacon, Faction 2.0, Lib Tech NaS FFF are all good choices and have all been proved to handle both park and pow.Surface Daily skis would be good as well. If I was you I'd go wider rather than skinnier. Because unless you're a proper cunt of a person you'll make friends who will also want to build BC booters. Plus there's nothing worse than having a ski sinking during a pow day

Something around 100 +/- 5mm. Best all around do everything from park to pow were my S3's.

In my opinion skis don't start feeling clumsy until they are over 110 underfoot.

I'm in a similar quandry, just moved to jackson and looking for a one ski quiver that can handle pow, jacksons varied all mountain terrain, and still accomodate my east coast jibbing tendencies. Been eyeing the Line Blends, Faction 2.0s, or the Kartel 106s. Anyone skied these last year? thoughts? reviews?

Kartels are for sure a fun ski. They handle everything so damn well.

Youd probably be happy with everything thats been mentioned in this thread.

definitely something within the 100-110 range.

Candide 2.0's, Blizzard Peacemakers, Kartel 106's, Pettitor 102's, are all skis that I hear kill it in any condition. I personally got 4FRNT Devastators and they're loads of fun, definitely check out those bad boys. probably the most fun ive had with a ski. Very playful, yet chargy.

Lots of folks coming in for the 4FRNT devistator.

There is no doubt that it is a great motherfucking ski, but did you all not find it to be a bit stiff and chargy to act as a sudo-park ski? Granted, I'm pretty fucking terrible at park skiing but I found it to be a bit planky for taking in the park.

Hence my recommendation for the Kartel and Peacemaker. Two skis that I found to be more playful without sacrificing too much in the way of stability.

I actually found it to be a great park ski, though i dont use them there. Very poppy and stable on jumps, especially with, and i cant do skinny, noodly Park skis. Havent tried them on rails but the swing weight in the air as well as just buttering around felt a lot more better than most park skis ive ridde

Idk, it just seems like a perfect "moving out west" ski, something to go dick around in the park on for a few, then go hammer cruddies or something, and not have to worry about having issues. i ski mine everywhere and have no problems. Could be bias but they wouldnt be bad at all for whistler, plus im sure park riding gets dull in a place like that too.
