i'm a freshman so i' new at it, i do know the bookstore doesn't give you shit though. would you suggest ebay ? if not i was thinking maybe half.com

whats been your experience ?

Selling them online will bring the biggest profit. But, there are probably some buy back places other than your bookstore around your campus and they give you like 10-20% more than the store does, usually i rake in about 20-40% of what i pay for my books from the book store though, which still sucks.

keep the core classes, don't feel bad about electives. keep the topics you really like.

you're going to get kicked in the balls anyway.

knowledge > $

i'm not sure how my roommate does it, but he made money off of his books last year (only like 15 bucks, but better than the 300 dollar hit most people take)

i think he buys and sells them through amazon and gets all kinds of coupons online for free shipping and other things

Although the bookstore doesn't give you shit, I find its so much easier to just bring a backpack load all at once and get rid of them. Another option that I've thought of doing but haven't yet is finding someone who will be taking the class next semester and selling it to them, not only will you make more on the book but they will save more as well.

online is such a drag i still have books up pretty cheaply from the past two semesters and only ended up selling one this fall. i think i will probably just let the bookstore screw me over, i need money.

a friend of mine burned and pissed all over his notes and books.a month later he found out he had to do his year over again...

I use Amazon. I keep them throughout the summer (or in this case, winter break). Then, when kids start to go back for classes, they will be looking for books online.

In my experience, the bookstore won't even take back books, nevermind the fact that they give you shit for them.
