Best Tahoe mountain

ill be out at Tahoe in Jan i was wondering what the best mountain was out there for park and backcountry .Also,anyone know of any cheap realestate out there?
 
Cant really say there is a best. Squaw? Kwood and alpine have nice mountains. Boreal park is going to be sweet, so is alpine, n*.
 
There is no cheap real estate in tahoe. Median house is around 550,000 in truckee right now
 
just a note. squaw doesn't open their boundaries so if you're looking to head into the BC from a resort don't go there. everywhere else is fine.

if you're looking for both park and BC i would suggest alpine meadows. they have a nice park and easy access to some great backcountry as well.
