Best spots in the northeast during mid December?

I found out I get 2 weeks of pto to use before the end of the year. I’ll probably use a week of it to ski. I’ll still be on a big budget tho, so looking for a place I could sleep in the car or get a place for cheap. Who has the best parks around this time? I was thinking about killington but I’m not sure my car will make it.

Came here to say Killington out of being bias but also due to the fact they will have top to bottom so either you’ll have quiet laps on reason with smaller lift lines or they’ll have mouse run up and that will be a full dope park.

But if you don’t think your car would make it where are you driving from? There are definitely other good options likely closer to you.

depending on where you're located and whether you've got an epic or ikon, Killington, Mt. Snow (Carinthia), Mt. Ellen @Sugarbush, Loon, are all great mountains. Gunstock is my local and I love it but wouldn't really put it near the ones i just named.

Gore Mountain is a bit shorter drive(~80 miles) If you’re worried about your car making it to Killington.

Never been outside of summertime but their parks look good in edits.

Honestly the only resorts with full parks open in mid December are prolly Carinthia, Killington, Loon and Loaf

Gore Mountain is a bit shorter drive(~80 miles) If you’re worried about your car making it to Killington.

Never been outside of summertime but their parks look good in edits.

If I’m already going 465 miles I might as well just get to killington. I’m thinking my car could prob do it

If you’re looking for park killington definitely has the best on the east coast. Not sure if they’ll have the top to bottom up in mid December but they’ve got good pop ups too.

Look up if tucks is skiable, definitely the most gnarly shit ive ever ridden, blows most stuff out west out of the water tbh

Look into renting a car. Cheap enough for a couple days and will at least take the worry away of you making it there or having car issues.

Def need to wait for the snowpack to build up more, also avy danger is way higher when the snow isn’t as deep. Also cold

I've heard you can hit it as early as December and know some people who hit it mid season but they're also all avy certified so that would make sense

If you’re looking for park killington definitely has the best on the east coast. Not sure if they’ll have the top to bottom up in mid December but they’ve got good pop ups too.

They usually have top to bottom by the end of november.

I went early last December and they didn’t have it yet but they could have just been late last year
