Best skis you've ever owned?

i've owned crap skis that rust and break all the time, so i wanna hear from everyone else, and i might get an idea on good skis to buy

First generation K2 Fujatives. They were bombproof and fun because of how soft they were. I wish I hadn't given them away.

Sounds like a user problem and not the ski.

Need more information to be more useful. Your ability, your sizes, what kinda skiing your doing, where your skiing, ect......

i had some K2 Disordely's that i rode hard for three years, they worked well. The cores are completely shot, but they worked well for three seasons.

Line Sir Francis Bacon 11/12.

I ride them every day from urban to pow. They do it all, best ski I've owned for sure.

I'm seriously digging my Ace of Spades Ti... durable as f*ck, stable, powerful for a park ski. Heaps of fun.

my second pair of twin tips were invaders. i wish i had a pair in the right size so i could use them to their full ability but they were fun when i had them

punx fo sho fo park. really light

the dynastar big troubles 06' for everywhere. cause they can go through anything and are really durable

then for pow/big mountain=my bentchetlers. love those. like surfin through pow

Why yes i did, but considering my old skis were 2011 clicks and I wasn't very happy with the pair of skis I picked up on an off season sale where I got them for 200 bucks with bindings. So you tell me which you know is best. 2013 Thalls or 2011 full cap clicks.

scott p4, not really a playful ski, but has a very modest design, regular camber, 108mm underfoot but is stiff as fuck, titanal reinforced core, i cracked mine in multiple places and had a ripped out binding but i still ride em and up until last season they were my go to ski whenever i got difficult conditions on the mountain, these things are at their prime when you're skiing stuff that other people hate/struggle with which makes these babies awesome !

and also a honorably mention of my coreupt TJ schillers for being amazingly stable at high speeds and being insane poppy, after a season riding they still look like they're only a week old !

i'd also like to add my ep pros to the list, but although they're holding up and are amazingly fun, i have trouble calling them my 'best' skis ....

OG kung fujas, before they had rocker and were pretty much flat, or very little camber. easily the best ski ive ever owned for park and just all around fun. just the perfect combination of perfect things making a perfect ski. i usually like soft skis because i like to butter and use a lot of the skis flex, but these werent soft, it was like just stiff enough to be stable on big gnarly landings, but for ollies and butters and jibbing around the flex was perfect, like it was soft enough so it didnt take much effort to get into a butter, but stiff enough so that once you had the ski flexed, it gave a super good platform to pop out, hold it, not wash out, whatever. its not just the stiffness being so good, its how much it flexed, and where the ski started to get stiffer as it flexed more, and how much stiffer it became. made ollies, butters, popping off small and big jumps and everything so good.

that and the weight was perfect, light enough to be able to spin super fast if you want, but heavy enough to not feel like your wearing twigs and give you a floaty stable feeling in the air.

Fuck it actually really gets to me thinking about it because i know they dont make it anymore, it made skiing that much fun. i bought the 2010 fujas and its just nowhere near the same ski.

K2 if your reading this, make that ski again!

yeah i just checked. they had the 2009s a month ago. i loved them heavy or not they were "dah-bomb''

08/09 191 on3p wren has been my favorite ski ever for the past few seasons, but that title was transfered to my 12/13 191 BG's at the end of last season. I love both equally

Yes! I still have some 08/09 Fujas as my park and cruising ski. 189 (really 195) and no rocker, perfect. They're pretty soft though dude. I generally don't like how K2s ski at all, but in a soft ski like this they feel nice.

im used to skiing invaders, ep's etc.. i always have liked/skiied soft skis, so really the fujas was pretty damn stiff compared to those, i somehow pulled out of many shitty/backseat landings on 60-70 footers and the skis never gave out, felt plenty stiff for that type of stuff.

the prototype JMOS i owned for 3 season before one snapped. i loved those things, stiff, charged pow and crud, but since they were more centered could still take them in the park and float some big 3s. only thing i would have changed was a slight tweak with the rocker...think the jeffery on steroids

i realllllllllllly wanted the gypsies so bad this year but ended up finding a better deal on some shiros which are very similar. but do you love your gypsies? i've pretty much been drooling over them since they were announced, such a sick ski

only rode them for a few deep days up in CO, but yes. they are far and away the best pow ski I have ridden (I have ridden a fair amount of pow skis) mostly because they have a ton of float, they are buttery and fun to throw around, super playful, but can also charge as hard as I wanted them to and can rail groomers because the sidecut corresponds with the rocker. You should find a pair to demo if you can.
