Best Skiing in North Carolina?

I live in charlotte and app has the best park but beech is by far the best mountain because it's not just a Hill like app. The thing good about the beech park is they have a decent park w a row which is good for hot laps but app spends more time and money on their park but overall beech is better if u don't only wanna do rails but app is better if your rail wizard and sugar mountain is shit and u only go there if u don't have style and your name is nick gaper.

Ugh I remember being in your position. Lived in the uptown of beautiful clt for 2.5 years. Beech is best for all mtn. It's bigger. Don't bother with sugar if you really care about riding park, bc non-existent. App has spit out some sick park riders but it's an ant hill. Most of these guys finish school and go west. There's a few kids still there that rip and the crew is kinda small so try to make friends. Park crew is mad chill and they do comps every season so go play in those and meet people. The prizes are pretty good.

If you like park go to App.... if you are looking to ride go to beech. App has by far the best park options, has a small small hill with mostly rails that everyone can hit and then a more advanced trail like park with at least one good jump and a variety of other stuff. The more advanced park requires a $5/year pass and sitting through a short demo on park safety..... I like that because it keeps the family kids out. App is super small though so you will be bored quick if you want anything other than park. Park at Beech is tiny with just a few things including a jump that you hardly have enough speed to hit. Beech has a bar at the top and another at the bottom, a high speed quad, better snow, and longer runs which is why I find myself spending more time at Beech.

Thanks for the input, I just moved from Montana last year, so honestly not looking to do much besides park. Would like to get a pass to Beech, but if the parks just aren't good then I'll just go to App

Keep in mind that if you are driving from Charlotte, driving to Beech mountain will add about an hour to your travel time. App still has a better park in my opinion, but Beech is much better for just skiing groomers. Beech tends to get more natural snow also. Since beech is larger, it takes more days of snowmaking to open all slopes. App only needs about a week of snowmaking to open, where beech needs more time. Last season was pretty warm, and im not sure if beech was ever 100% open.
