Best Skier not in the X games

I am pretty sure Abma pep and those guys would throw down some stylie and big shit. Watc abma's park shots in 7SD and tell me he wont do well
 
I was watching the xgames today and i said to myself to like 1/2 of the riders "wow, tom could have done that, but better."
 
eric ollard would NOT do well in the x games. anyone who says he would obviously doesnt understand big mountain vs park. also xgames is like all about tech+ style, not about uniqueness. im betting pep andy and pollard prob wouldnt even qualify. they do their own thing and props to that but they really cant compete in this league anymore.

i would say twall wouldve killed slope. i only saw colby west pretzel once and no completed finalist run included a pretzel nor switch up in it. twall couldve gone 2on2outpretz, underflip off the "cannon," then the standard spins.
 
There are tons of good skiers not in the x games for the very good reason that they don't ski in a way which is suitable to the x games' format. That's kind of like looking at a world cup downhill event and saying "Seth Morrison is a great skier and he's not in this." No shit, because he isn't a racer. Just as he isn't a comptetition park skier.

The best skier not in X this year who belongs there is Corey Vanular.
 
Well as for good skiers not in the X games, there are too many to name. Or are we talking good skiers that should be in the X games but weren't in the X games? As for that I would say Ahmet, Tom, Adam Delorme maybe? Vanular and so many more. Outside of the X games there are hundreds of guys though, Idea crew, and just... a lot.
 
I dont remember seing tom wallish perform well in a comeptition. He's dope but he dont have the comp results to back him up yet.

Then you have kids like vanular (hurt), Phil Casabon (didnt get an invite), Henrik Harlaut (didnt get and invite)Adam Delorm (didnt get an invite) Tj Schiller (hurt) that should have been there but couldnt even tho they have good competition results in the past year and were either not invited or got hurt.
 
you guys need to realise that you're naming off skiers that don't compete anymore. why would pep, andy or seth compete? they don't need to up there credentials any more. they've paid their dues.

plus i don't think they could keep up with these young guns anyways.

 
if i could pick one skier it would be candide thovex. theres no question, he has BC skillz and he has gotten gold in pipe and slopestyle before.
 
no he is not kidding. that is fact. andy and pep did not qualify last year, so why would they this year? did they start training rails or were they at keystone working on rightside 9s or switch 12s early season? no, they were not.

they are both great skiers but they are out of their league when it comes to park nowadays. they are much better/happier/fit for bc stuff like in idea.

the rest of you who are throwing out guys like abmaand seth morrison are also wrong. they can hit a jump in a movie, but they will tell you that they do not have the bag of tricks to throw 4 consecutive hits from right/left and switch right/left.

imo, the best riders imo who could have done well (based soley on the video footage i have seen and not comp results) would be delorme, ahmet, and wallisch

 
i agree with you somewhat, no they would not stand a chance as far as winning, but qualifying yes. just because they have went out this year and done their own thing, doesn't mean they aren't good. abma for sure would have qualified, and andy and pep would've had a decent chance. no they aren't made for the x-games and they don't like to do that shit, but they could still hold their own as far as qualifying.
