who do you think had the best display in the half pipe. id say either jon, or c.r. even though he fell, that was fuckin incredable.

and what about the slope style?

 
i think jon was really stylie on his run, i especially liked the flare reverse mute...

i think c.r. really came out huge....i had no idea that he was as good as he is in the pipe...id never seen him do much pipe, but candides final run was amazing, some of the biggest most stylie stuff ive ever seen in the pipe! jon had great runs but just didnt seem to have the air or the style im used to seeing with him. id say candide stood out more than anyone

best display for halfpipe hands down candide. CR was killing it as well but just got rocked when going quite large

I fucked up my run so bad... I was trying the god damn switch rodeo 5, but took off funny...

so I got screwed out of it.

Oh well. next year.

 
CR is really havin bad luck lately. If they counted the qualifying round, he would have beaten even candide. But i would have to say that i was overall dissapointed by almost everything. Tanner gets my vote, he goes huge, he throws, and he styles. No other main competition besides olsson, maybe candide. But this was pbly the most dissapointin xgames i have ever seen

now when somebody asks me if i ever decapitated a fetus, i know what to say- My lab partner after a dissection gone wrong.

Pipe did not tear up the slopestyle! That was the worst second place in the world. Tanner beat the rest of the pack by about 3 times in skill and flow.

 
obviously it was tanner hall since he came away with 2 medals gold and silver.

not so sure his run was silver worthy in the pipe.

who was that new kid in the pipe who was 16?

if he didnt biff on his run i think he coulda been in medal contention.

i think that was simon dumont. The two tricks I saw him do in his last run looked sweet. They were as big as candides it looked like. He'll definitely be a contender. How did moseley do?

moseley wasnt gonna be in pipe, he was supposed to be in slopestyle, but he pulled out on the tuesday before the games started, his reason was that he 'was filming for a new movie' that is the biggest pan of shit ive heard for a while

i agree, mossely should go and suck fis cock. He doesn't give a shit about the sport whatsoever, only himself. It used to be different, then mtv poisened his mind. I just really wish some of the ncaf would have placed.

i think tanner probably had the best performance, but jon got screwed out of silvers in both slopestyle and superpipe.

the problem with jon olsson is he hasn't changed that run since last year. it's getting old

props to candide . he finally should whats he made of and made top. and pep has mucho mucho style. i laughed so hard when tanner got 3 on his first run. every one booooo-d. it was funny. hes fucking good though. cr just had a bad day.

 
i like pep's run. the trick im starting to hate is the dspin's i think tanner and jon both threw them. pep's unnaty 5 tail was smooth.

ya the dspins arnt exactly ugly but the fact that to throw a nice looking dspin you just have to cross your skis, and everyones looks the same is waht makes me not ever want to see them in the x games again, the trick itself has been thrown way to much and the style that its throw with is way to old....

candide and cr ruled the pipe..cr just caught some bad luck. those two went soooooooo HUGE!! as for the best skier in the x games it was tanner. enough of everyone bitching how they don't like him. he was and is the sickest skier. he makes everything look so damn easy and stylie.

 
tanner was good in the slopestyle-mostly his final air. the rest of the run was okay but nothing incredible. pep didn't deserve 2nd in slopestyle. tanner definitely should not have gotten 2nd in the half-pipe. candide's run was by far the best in the finals. jon should have gotten 2nd. cr's qualifying run was amazing. simon definitely has skills too.

 
yeah, i have to agree that jon, candide, and tanner all had awsome runs. But its funny how no one seemed to notice John Symms who is a complete unknown snag 7th place in the halpipe. He made it in to the xgames only days before from the breck. comp, and was close to getting into the slopestyle too. Pretty good for being completly unknown and straight outta idaho.

candide definatley was great in the pipe. his amplitude was incredible. as for slopestyle, i think jon and tanner both were good..they make it look simple.

 
I didnt like tanners pipe run that much, I thought jon's first was smoother. tanner, jon, and steele spence ripped up the slope style. candide and cr owned the pipe. too bad dc couldnt compete. he went as big last year as candide went this year.

 
the only one who could've challenged candide's run in the pipe was simon dumont. he was boosting real huge, he just couldn't stomp anything in the finals.

yes candide owned the pipe...but simon dumont being the only one to compete with him. simon can take a seat compared to how cr was airing out. simon decked like cr..but didn't go as high as cr

 
I think jon olsson should have beat pep in the slopestyle cuzz he landed so smooth on his jumps but pep is amazing!

I'm sick and tired of people saying Pep didn't deserve silver... He tricked on and off the rails, Jon didnt. He did alot of switch jumps, Jon didnt. He did unnatural tricks, Jon didnt.

And Tanner's run in the pipe was better than Jon's too.

I can't believe people weren't stoked on the display the athletes showed at the Xgames this year. This year's 4th or 5th place slopestyle run would have gotten silver at least at last year's.

And There was much more depth in Superpipe this year. Plus Candide and C.R. blew apart what we thought was possible in a pipe. I would say it was an excellent Xgames.

Tanner owns slopestyle, period. He spun on and off almost every rail, plus his air style is undenyable. He spends a lot of time perfecting his body position in the air, and it's just smooth. I think Pep will be a major challenger next year. Jon has massive balls and a trick repertoire to match, but he didn't do anything at all risky.

Pipe, Candide stomped all his tricks and went huge, that's why he won. Dumont and CR (first run) went as big or bigger, but they didn't stomp their tricks. I think next year you can look forward to Tanner taking the top spots in both events. If he progresses half as far from this year to next as he did last year to this year in the pipe, there won't even be competition.

I'm waiting for someone to do huge switch airs in the pipe. Skiing needs someone like Travis Parker who does entire park and pipe runs switch.
