Telluride has pretty chill lower management and sick big terrain / parks. Rarely long lift lines, community is tight, lots of snow. Besides for the massive wealth gap it's pretty cool. The only affordable/available place you'll end up living is employee housing. Ski in/ski out $700 something a month but a lot of people have a roommate to split it with. One of the most stunning places on earth but pretty remote and groceries are stupid expensive unless you drive just over an hour to the closest walmart.
