Best ski pants (I prefer Helly Hansen)

Hi --

I'm trying to find the best pair of ski pants for me this winter. I would prefer something Helly Hansen, but would be open to anything.

I want something for touring in the Utah backcountry, but with a new school fit (not ridiculously large, but not tight like most stuff from Mtn Hardwear & the like). I prefer a cargo pant or something with extra pockets, and lots of inside-thigh venting.

I would prefer something that isn't insulated, but instead is made with a really good material like black-tag gore tex or eVent or something.

Also -- I need it to be a bright color (like green or blue or red or yellow). I have a charcoal jacket, and in the backcountry you need at least one half of your outfit to be bright so you can be found easily.

I have some Salomon pants right now that are the right fit & are black-tag gore tex and I love them...but they are light gray and I need something bright.

Thoughts?

ajay -- I actually like those. A little techy, but I still like them. do you have a link to where I can find them? I couldn't seem to get to them on the hellyhansen.com site. thanks.

it's not junk but the survival pant is made for the back country and is really waterproof, but i supposed you can't really go wrong with helly hansen, their shit is solid

Im so tempted to get the survival pant but then i would be so tempted to buy the jacket and i really couldnt afford that. Maybe i'll get the agenda pant.

Ride. I know, I am not supporting the industry, well fuck you. I got these pants that pretty much look exactly like jeans.

check out aeryx's 20k waterproofing ski pants. look at the desert fox pants and axis series. they're dope and plenty comfortable with thigh venting. they have plenty of pockets too, even a few felt pockets for special things.
