I am around 6'2 185 lbs and have been thinking about transitioning to park. just need some tips on whats the best ski for just starting park, size, where to ride (I live in Tennessee, so preferable east coast), etc.

If you can find a 185ish ski used, you’ll be able to get a feel for what you specifically want in a ski without spending too much. Check out snow.share on Instagram.

I like bigger skis

More stability

More drip

It doesn’t matter to much. If you’re 6ft 178 is fine, people tend to prefer longer skis because of stability. Some a holes out there loathe people with anything shorter than 180.

I try not to ski any skis shorter than me, but you can do whatever, it just might look weird

Take a ruler, and look at what 7cm actually looks like, then cut it in half, and then ask yourself if you really think that much on your tip or tail is going to make or break anything you do.

There is no "best". Just get some "park" skis for a big heavy dude! Then give them a "Park" tune! No ski is great until you tune it to be so.

I know this because I am a Tennessee Squire! Google that up!

If the ski is full camber 178 should be fine, if its got rocker I'd probably bump up to something in the 180s.

I’m probably gonna get some with rocker most likely so thanks homie

I’m 6’1 200lbs

my park skis are 178 and I prefer longer skis 185/190+ for all mountain

with my height and weight they are great for park, Good for all mountain groomers and “play” but mixed or pow that’s when I’m on something longer

I should also add to take stiffness into account. If you are riding a noodle I'd go longer to give yourself some stability unless you want to "butter" out every landing
