Best semi inexpensive Christmas ski trip?

Looking to go skiing somewhere for Christmas. Was thinking about whitefish but the flights cost an insane amount. Any recommendations? Want good skiing

skiing is expensive and now with inflation, you are gonna have trouble not pwning your bank account on a ski trip.

You can probably find a relatively less expensive trip but i cant imagine inflation not hitting the ski industry like a ton of bricks. You cant even find a fucking hooded sweatshirt for less than 100$ these days for fuck sake.

Assuming you’re in the Midwest given you would fly from Chicago, snowshoe is a nice place that’s not too expensive might even be able to drive depending where you’re located. Additionally, I just scheduled a trip to gore mountain for 4 of us, came out to about 400 per person before gas and food expenses so not too bad.

jackson hole past february is jackslushy shithole. Totally overrated and its a very unappealing mountain ergonomic and aesthetic wise. They get alot of snowfall every xmas break which is why so many jet setters have houses there or stay there for xmas vacation,, but the lower half of the mountain melts into shit pretty early in the spring.
