Ok so i recenly had my piece of shit Dell crash, consequently forcing me to get windows 7, which did not come with any photo editing software. I needed to get it when i had vista, but i was broke. So her i am deciding between the many softwares out there. I was kinda mainly looking at Adobe Photoshop Elements or Aperature 3 (im not even sure if its PC compatible), but any other LEGIT suggestion are welcome and taken into consideration. So whats pretty much the best one out there?

Oh, i forgot to add, im on a semi budget, so dont suggest Adobe PS5 or anything of the sort. Looking to spend at the max 300 ish dollars.

So now discuss.

well, erm, technically speaking, you can get anything on a budget....

well realllyyyyy you can get away with saving your entire budget for something else, and still get some excellent editing software

or torrent the whole master collection, then you can be pro at photos and videos and sounds and websites and games and everything, and thats the best kind of pro

So you suggested torrenting CS5. Is it much different that CS4? cause we have that at school and I just kinda roughy myself how to use it and I'd rather not learn it all over again.

that was my 1000th post btw hhaha.

anyways, thanks for that. now how do i torrent this? ive definatly herd of it, but ive never used it.

well first you need a torrent client, i am not really familiar with pc clients so i cant help you there, try bittorrent, or ask around here to see what is a good client. from there go to thepiratebay.org and search "adobe cs5 (insert master collection, photoshop, etc) + (crack, keygen, etc). once youve found one that seems to be legit and reliable, download it and open it in your torrent client, and wait for it to finish downloading.

to figure out which torrent is legit read the comments, see how many people are seeding ( more seeders = faster download + not a virus, and that sort of thing)

hope that helps a bit

yeah that helped a bit. i'll also talk to my buddy whom i pretty sure downloaded vegas pro 9. maybe he can help me. thanks.

I know pro photographers who edit purely in Adobe Elements. You do not need Photoshop.

but if he has some experience with photoshop, and is looking to progress, why not try multiple applications to see what you like best, its all preference.

Yep! A lot of people do their stuff in lightroom or aperture.

I love lightroom - makes your workflow super smooth if you have a lot of pictures to go through!

I think "free" falls under the category of "semi-budget". Adobe makes it much to easy to gain free access to all of their latest software.

To the OP, follow the piratebay link somebody posted earlier.

Thanks to all! Just having adobe elements would be better for me than having CS5 or 4 only because its simpler of a software. More designed for the sole use of photography. I'll work on that one i think.

If you want to be legit, get GIMP, it's pretty good, I have no idea about Aperture buy I'm sure it costs a fortune. TORRENT d00d.
