Best rock band of all time

Yes should definitely be in there. YES is so good, steve howe is the shit, ian anderson has such a good voice, and rick wakeman is probably the greatest person in a rock badn to ever touch the piano. Yes should definitley be put in there

By far, without a doubt, there is no other band that compares to the Beatles. They changed musci, they were incredibly talented, they broke barriers, they are STILL good to listen to today, they had more hits than any other band and more than any other band will EVER have. They are the original rock and roll band. Every single band from then on was influenced by the Beatles, including the Doors, Led Zep, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, and everyone else.

No one will ever come close to matching them.

 
the yardbirds also had a great influence on those bands but nobody had an influence on pink floyd they were the first band of their kind

 
the thing i think tha tmakes the beatles so good isnt only their music which is mostly real good but its also the fact that they were doing what Thermos was talking about and going out and making hteir own stuff

they changed music forever by doing what they wanted and i think thats what was so cool about them cause they went out and gave everyone somehting new to listen to and thats what hadd to happen cause the music before them was so damn boring

thats just what i think though

zeppelin sort of did the same thing i htink in adding to what the beatles started by starting or helping to start the whole hard rock genre of music and jimmy page was just an amazing guitarist in eveyr way

 
Well I'd say Yes more as 'Best prog band of all time', because after all they are 100% prog. But yeah, they're really good, though not that rockish, he he. Close to the edge is probably tied with Thick as a Brick for best prog song of all time.
