BEST RESORT ON HOOD: MEADOWS OR TIMBERLINE

This just goes for the winter because (obviously) timberline would have a huge advantage if the summer were included.

Timberline is so god damn flat. Anyone that goes to timberline on a pow day when mile isn't running is stupid. Say what you want to, but I will always take meadows on a pow day. If mile is running then jump building in the canyons can be fun, but thats not even in bounds at timberline... But for overall skiing and variety of terrain Meadows without a doubt. Just go watch a meadows edit from tommy e. If you want to ski park and nothing else, timberline is good. Meadows park can be underrated at times, although sometimes it kinda sucks. I feel like the meadows spring park has a lot of potential (super flowy this year) but park crew kinda starts to slack off a bit. Where the actual park at meadows lacks, the natural park (aka shape of the mountain) makes up for it. If timberline didn't have a half decent park and a keystone-esque park layout (all park trails in one area on one lift) timberline would be nothing.

It has been discussed, but here is how you do it.

Ski Bowl Night Pass- When it's nuking nothing beats the upper bowl vibe at Ski Bowl, also 3PM openings give you a hella good chance at afternoon freshies.

Meadows Season Pass- Reality is they have the most terrain, and higher elevation than Ski Bowl. Elevation is a huge factor at Hood. Semi crowded, but not like Tahoe/Colorado crowded. Quit bitching about a 5 minute lift line.

T-Line Spring pass- Often goes in to June. Lots of park. Killer corn out the west side of the permit.

If your main concern is park then just get a Fusion Pass.

like what Session said,

Ski bowl for night skiing and powder days. Decent park if the rope tow opens.

Meadows for the variety of terrain. Spring park is fun, but not as good as T-Line

T-line is pretty much only good for park. Also there is a "secret" halfpipe that I will tell nobody.

It's understandable that you would think so, until you find the secret spots that change everything.

Unless there is no snow lower on the mountain, like this year. There are definitely some good spots lower on the mountain though.

^ With the exception of Otto Lang the Magic Mile terrain is pretty much the flattest part of Timberline. Not going to make or break my pow day.

But the out of bounds access off of mile is what I really like. Slashing through wind loaded pow in the little canyons is so fun. The inbounds on mile is rubbish.

Flood and Molly's have the best terrain at Timberline in terms of a pow day (if its cold enough).

Windblown on palmer is my shit too

There are no secret spots that even match the main bowls, let alone places like Jacks Woods, and Fright Tree's.

This so much. The shipyard ropetow was steeper than anything at timberline. Plus you don't have to hike out of the canyons at meadows. Maybe I'm biased because I work there
